A short primer
How Slyg works
Slyg is a marketplace with two sides. Travellers post upcoming trips and how much extra capacity their suitcase has. Seekers post items they want from another country and how much they'll pay — including a commission for the traveller.
01
Post a trip or a request
Flyers list the route, dates and free kilos. Seekers list what they want, where it should come from, a target price, and a willing commission percentage. Posting takes about a minute.
02
Match in the dual feed
Browse trips or requests, filter by country, and send a direct offer from any listing. Each offer is a small note with a proposed price and commission. Either side can accept, decline, or counter — it's a real conversation.
03
Carry & hand off
Once an offer is accepted, the two of you arrange how to meet. The flyer buys (or picks up) the item, carries it, and the seeker pays on hand-off — including the agreed commission percentage.
04
Earn
Commission is set as a percentage of the item value. A 12% commission on a $400 camera = $48 in the flyer's pocket, on a trip they were taking anyway. Payments are off-platform for now; on-platform escrow is on the roadmap.
